"Visible and mobile, my body is a thing among things; it's caught in the fabric of the world, and its cohesion is that of a thing. But, because it moves itself and sees, it holds things in a circle around itself." Maurice Merleau-Ponty, Eye and Mind, 1961

Patterns in medieval architecture

Michael Johansson, Familiar Abstractions
Exhibit at the Vigeland Museum. One of those times when you think "Crap, this is nice! I wish I had thought of doing this!". Johansson's sculptures are made of old furniture and other objects from our everyday life, reassembled or stacked on top of each other. Simple logic, but packed with references.
